-Before founding Foreigner, Mick Jones was an accomplished guitarist out of Hampshire, England who recorded with rock legends Peter Frampton and George Harrison.

-In 1976, he formed Foreigner with Ian McDonald. That same year, the band was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy’s. Today, the band has sold over 70 million albums worldwide.

-Fourteen Top 20 Foreigner Singles were written by Jones, including the #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is.” He also co-wrote the Grammy-award winning single “Bad Love” from Eric Clapton’s Journeyman album.

-Jones has numerous producing credits on his resume. This includes Van Halen’s 5150, a 6x multi-platinum album and Billy Joel’s Storm Front, a 4x multi-platinum album.

-Mick Jones remains the foundation of Foreigner and is the only member who has played on every album. He also wrote or co-wrote every Foreigner song, and produced or co-produced every album in the band’s repertoire.
